Sage Copilot comes to Sage X3, powering high performance for manufacturing and distribution worldwide

  • Sage unveils new Copilot capabilities for Sage X3 at Sage Future in Atlanta
  • The AI-powered assistant will help businesses globally to anticipate risk, optimise decisions and elevate customer relationships

ATLANTA (June 4, 2025)Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced the launch of Sage Copilot for Sage X3. Now available globally, the new functionality empowers Sage X3 businesses to achieve high performance by delivering clearer operational insight, boosting productivity, and accelerating growth.

Revealed at its flagship event, Sage Future, in Atlanta, Sage Copilot for Sage X3 will first focus on empowering sales managers and representatives to easily query customer orders, shipping timelines, and fulfilment issues. Actively surfacing anomalies and opportunities, Sage Copilot will help teams get ahead of customer complaints, exceed customer expectation, and preserve trust throughout the sales cycle.

“By putting operational intelligence at businesses' fingertips, Sage Copilot for X3 marks a significant step forward in driving efficiencies and saving time,” said Rob Sinfield, SVP, ERP, Sage. “Whether it’s anticipating a delay in shipping, identifying a drop in order volumes, or spotting a churn-risk customer, Sage Copilot gives users the clarity and confidence to act faster, serve better, and grow stronger – all through a single, 360° view of their operations – helping them drive high performance.”

A huge step forward

Used by medium-sized businesses operating across manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, chemicals and services, Sage X3 manages finance, supply chain, production and customer operations at scale. Now with Sage Copilot, Sage X3 users will benefit from:

  • Conversational interaction: Embedded natural language chat allows users to interact with Sage X3 by simply asking questions in plain English, French and Spanish
  • Real-time operational alerts: Insights are surfaced automatically in the product to highlight delays, changes in behaviour, and opportunities
  • Sales intelligence that anticipates risk: Helps teams manage fulfilment issues, identify at-risk customers, and act quickly to preserve customer satisfaction
  • A unified 360° view: Delivers a connected view across sales, inventory, and customer orders, enabling faster, more confident decisions

In addition to Sage Copilot, Sage X3 customers will also benefit from embedded AI-powered Accounts Payable Automation, reducing manual data entry by accurately extracting and classifying invoices, freeing up teams to focus on higher-value work.

Looking to the future

Building on the momentum of this first release, Sage is looking ahead to what Sage Copilot can unlock across the broader Sage X3 experience. Future updates will bring intelligent support to areas like procurement, inventory management, finance and manufacturing, helping users anticipate disruption, make data-led decisions, and operate with greater agility.

"As a partner, we’re excited about how Sage Copilot is going to elevate human work today and, in the future,” said David L Sugg, Sr. Director, Consulting Services, Practical Software Solutions, Inc. “Working alongside Sage, we see real potential to help businesses unlock more intelligent, data-driven decision-making, streamline operations and build resilience for the future.”
