Mitsubishi UFG Fund Services is one of the largest players in the world of asset servicing. Part of Japan-based Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), it has offices worldwide.
When MUFG found itself going through a growth spurt and recruitment drive, the HR team’s spreadsheets could no longer cope. They needed an integrated HR solution including a centralised area from which colleagues could access and update information, regardless of location or time zone. Having reviewed the options, MUFG chose Sage.

Working together to customise Sage People
Once MUFG had chosen Sage People, a week-long workshop was held to go through each of their processes and work out how the team would like them improved. Information from this session was used to implement and customise the system. MUFG was impressed by the fast deployment times that had been originally scheduled. Immediately, the time spent on admin tasks was reduced.
Sage was interested in how to improve our processes and how to enhance the experience of the employee.

Getting the best from Sage People
MUFG found the implementation straightforward and with the system in place, MUFG reviewed their internal reporting needs, linking with the finance team and integrating data for even more comprehensive intelligence. The team has also begun to use the recruitment, management and training tools.
Sage People has transformed our productivity. We used to have one HR generalist to every 55-70 employees, whereas now it’s one to every hundred.
