Over-reliance on paper-based processes

Nashville Zoo has seen continued growth in recent years, and its leadership team has plans to develop new animal habitats and unique visitor experiences as part of future expansion plans. But the finance team were worried about whether they could support the planned expansion because of their heavy reliance on paper-based processes.

Push-of-a-button reporting

Having implemented Sage Intacct, the finance team is now producing profit and loss statements for individual events at the push of a button, rather than spending weeks sorting out how to allocate expenses. Their new accounts payable workflows are entirely paperless, and they simply upload data from their point-of-sale system.

Sage Intacct simplified everything for everybody, and I have time to ensure the accuracy of reports instead of scrambling to get them finished.

Insights at the zoo’s fingertips

Nashville Zoo now has stronger financial controls and all the visibility it needs at its fingertips - without having to tap into its limited IT resources. It has plans to exploit Sage Intacct’s capabilities even further in the future as it prepares to ramp up growth again.

We used to check our cash flow just once a quarter due to the unwieldy report structure, but now we view it weekly.
