Cumbersome accounting

TSAOG was using Microsoft Dynamics, a server-based software, but it wanted to move into the cloud and enjoy all the benefits that brings. It previously had a very fixed chart of accounts, which was very cumbersome to maintain.

On Microsoft Dynamics, we had 3,900 charts of accounts. When we switched to Sage Intacct, we reduced our chart of accounts down to 250.

Intuitive software wins

When it was making the decision to switch systems, TSAOG looked at upgrading Microsoft Dynamics and also considered NetSuite. But it found both systems to be very complicated and overpriced. When presented with a demo of Sage Intacct, the team found it extremely intuitive and easy to understand.

I've been able to start doing deep dives into different segments of our organization, which puts my time into revenue-generating tasks rather than busy work.

Quantifiable efficiencies

Using Sage Intacct, TSAOG has been able to streamline its month-end close time by 33%. In addition to that, because of the software’s flexibility when it comes to intercompany transactions, it has been able to reduce its month-end journal entries by 35%. The CFO estimates that the overall efficiency of the finance team has increased by approximately 30%.

With Sage Intacct, because we have dimensions, we are able to provide useful data that we can analyze and make educated business decisions.
