Sage Foundation selects five Atlanta nonprofits for 2025 Grow Program

Program equips local nonprofit leaders with leadership training, mentorship, and strategic support

ATLANTA (May 20, 2025)Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and medium-sized businesses, today announced its 2025 Sage Foundation Grow Program nonprofit participants: five Atlanta-based nonprofits who will receive mentorship, leadership training and problem-solving support from Sage leaders.

Now in its third year in Atlanta and fifth year globally, the Grow Program pairs nonprofit founders and leaders with Sage executives for a five-month mentorship focused on problem-solving, leadership development, and sustainable growth.

At the end of the five months, participants walk away with new skills, strategic frameworks, and tools that address challenges within their organizations and strengthen their leadership and strategic capabilities for long-term impact.

“I’m proud to be the Executive Sponsor of the Sage Foundation Grow Program, which is integral to our mission of knocking down barriers for everyone, especially SMBs,” said Becky Payne, Vice President, Sales & Success Digital Enablement at Sage. “We have millions of SMB customers, so we understand the pain points of this segment. Nonprofits face unique challenges, especially when operating with limited resources. At Sage, we’re applying our knowledge and expertise to help these organizations grow their impact, and we’re especially excited to do so here in our North American homebase of Atlanta.”

The 2025 Atlanta cohort includes:

  • Aynda M. Kanyama–Jackson, Executive Director of No Stones Movement, focused on the development of Atlanta’s inner-city youth
  • Charaun Cash, Executive Director of VOX ATL, a media nonprofit uplifting teen voices across Atlanta (returning participant)
  • Jessie Sparrow, Executive Director of Reimagine ATL, supporting young people in launching careers in media and entertainment
  • Laura Keefe, Executive Director of YELLS, Inc., which empowers youth through leadership, life skills, and community engagement (returning participant)
  • Napiya Nubuya, Executive Director of The Next IT Girl, which bridges the gap between students, businesses and tech educational institutions to create a more diverse tech industry

These non-profits join a growing network of 22 nonprofit leaders supported through the Sage Foundation Grow Program in Atlanta, Canada, and Australia over the past five  years.

“Being part of the Sage Foundation Grow Program is a game changer,” said Charaun Cash, Executive Director of VOX ATL. “The program provides a place for me to gain clarity, and help think about how VOX ATL can scale our impact to reach more teens who need an outlet to express themselves and prepare them for life  after high school.”
