Members of the leadership team who are on the Executive Committee have (ExCo) after their titles.

Steve Hare

Chief Executive Officer

Steve joined Sage in January 2014, having previously been Operating Partner and Co-Head of the Portfolio Support Group at the private equity firm Apax Partners, which he joined in 2009.

Prior to this, he built over 10 years’ experience leading the finance function for three listed UK companies, culminating as CFO for FTSE 100 company Invensys plc, the global technology-related business, from 2006 to 2009. Between 2004 and 2006, Steve was Group Finance Director for Spectris plc, a FTSE 250 precision instrumentation and controls company, and from 1997 to 2003, he was with Marconi PLC, acting as CFO from 2001 onwards.

Steve became a Chartered Accountant in 1985 with Ernst & Whinney, now part of Ernst & Young, and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Liverpool University.

Jonathan Howell

Chief Financial Officer (ExCo)

Jonathan joined the Board as an independent, non-executive director on May 15, 2013 and served as Chairman of the Audit Committee from November 2013 to December 2018. 

Jonathan was subsequently appointed Chief Financial Officer, with additional responsibility for Procurement and Property, on December 4, 2018, having served as Group Finance Director of Close Brothers Group plc for 10 years.

Prior to that, he held the same position at the London Stock Exchange Group plc, starting in 1999. Jonathan was also a non-executive director of EMAP plc and Chairman of FTSE International. The early part of his career was at Price Waterhouse, where he became a chartered accountant.

Marcus Banks

Chief Marketing Officer (interim)

Marcus joined Sage in January 2018, initially to lead pricing. Since then, he has taken leadership of Marketing Operations and Sales Operations and now leads Sage's global marketing function on an interim basis. In this role, Marcus is responsible for managing the Sage brand, delivering global marketing campaigns, and developing key marketing technology platforms and processes. Marcus works closely with Sage's regional marketing teams to execute local campaigns. 

Prior to Sage, Marcus spent many years in senior strategy, marketing, and commercial roles at Virgin Media and Lloyds Group. Before that, he worked as a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

Derk Bleeker

Chief Corporate Development Officer (ExCo)

Derk is responsible for portfolio simplification, M&A, and business planning. In this role, Derk will drive the accelerated transformation of our product portfolio to create a focused and high-growth SaaS company. Derk joined Sage in 2014 and has led corporate development and commercial finance. Derk’s previous roles include Director, Corporate Development for Europe at Danaher, and Associate Director at HgCapital.

Derk holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Vicki Bradin

General Counsel and Company Secretary (ExCo)

Vicki joined Sage in 2016 from former FTSE 250 software company Misys (now Finastra), where she was Associate General Counsel. In her role at Misys, Vicki was responsible for M&A, litigation, risk, IP, and more.

After graduating from Nottingham University, Vicki qualified as an attorney in the city of London. Vicki spent her early career working as a corporate lawyer in global and magic circle law firms before moving in-house and working in large multinationals and UK public limited companies, helping grow and transform businesses while managing their regulatory and litigation risk.

Amanda Cusdin, Sage Chief People Officer

Amanda Cusdin

Chief People Officer (ExCo)

Amanda became Chief People Officer in September 2018, a role she started on an interim basis in October 2017. She joined Sage in March 2015, first to lead the people transformation across Sage Functions but later becoming Executive Vice President of People Business Partners—leading the regional and functional generalist people teams in all Sage locations.

Amanda has 18 years of HR experience at a number of global FTSE organizations, including manufacturing, engineering, and project businesses, where she has focused on supporting executive leaders to drive change and transformation. In her career to date, Amanda has built extensive experience in North America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe. She has led in all areas of Human Resources, but specifically M&A, growth in new geographies and working across cultures and matrix organizations. Amanda is also specialized in talent development to executive level.

She is passionate about developing talent and leadership and creating truly inclusive organizations that promote diversity. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Warwick and postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources Management.

Sue Goble

Chief Customer Success Officer (ExCo)

Sue’s role at Sage is to ensure a customer-centric approach is at the heart of business, built into strategy, and executed flawlessly through our operations. Working closely with the country managing directors, Sue sets the strategy and governance for customer service and customer success on a global basis. Previously, Sue was responsible for Business Operations, successfully leading major programs across the organization. Sue has had a distinguished career at a range of cloud companies, including roles as CEO of the Cloud Division of Iris Software Group; General Manager for International at cloud consulting business Bluewolf; and senior roles at Salesforce and Siebel.

Aaron Harris

Aaron Harris

Chief Technology Officer (ExCo)

Aaron is responsible for Sage’s technology strategy and software architecture. He has more than 20 years of high-tech engineering experience in business applications and software development strategies.

Previously a founding leader of Sage Intacct, acquired by Sage in 2017, Aaron led the company’s product vision and technology direction, establishing Sage Intacct as the innovation leader in cloud financial management solutions.

Marc Linden

GM & EVP of Mid-Market Native Cloud Solutions (ExCo)

Marc Linden has more than 30 years of finance, business strategy, and general management experience. Previously CFO of Sage Intacct, he is now responsible for the leadership of Sage Intacct and Sage People, overseeing Finance, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Business Operations, and accelerating the availability of our native cloud solutions for the medium segment.

Prior to Sage Intacct, Marc spent four years as CFO for Mirapoint, Inc., a leader in secure appliance solutions for messaging. He served as general manager of Openwave’s messaging business unit. Marc came to Openwave from the unified messaging company Onebox, where he was CFO. He was instrumental in the sale of Onebox to Phone.com for $850M.

He has held positions in corporate development and planning at Octel and served as Vice President of Business Development and CFO at Global Village/OneWorld. His career began in technology practice at McKinsey & Company.

Marc holds an economics degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Lee Perkins

Lee Perkins

Chief Commercial and Product Officer (ExCo)

Lee leads our regional businesses and our Global Product Organization, which includes: Product Marketing, Product Management, and Product Engineering. Lee returned to Sage in early 2018 having originally joined Sage in 2011, serving as Managing Director of the UK & Ireland until early 2016.

Lee has over 20 years’ commercial and general management experience in businesses backed by public and private equity, most recently as CEO of Metronet and, prior to joining Sage, in executive leadership roles at Tech Data and Computacenter.

Robert Reid

Chairman, Mid-Market Solutions (ExCo)

With more than 30 years’ experience in the software industry, Rob has a proven track record of driving explosive growth at innovative companies and has demonstrated profound expertise in bringing cloud computing to the world of business applications.

Rob served most recently as president and CEO of LucidEra, a market leader for on-demand business intelligence. Prior to that, he was group vice president of industry-leading Siebel CRM On Demand for Oracle Corporation, managing the SMB sector. As president and CEO of on-demand CRM innovator UpShot, Rob grew the company tenfold before it was acquired by Siebel.

Rob served as president of Concur Commerce Network, an e-marketplace for small to mid-sized businesses, and also as president and CEO of Seeker Software.

Keith Robinson

Chief Strategy Officer (ExCo)

Keith Robinson joined Sage in 2016 as EVP for Strategy, becoming the Chief Strategy Officer in September 2018. An advisor to the ExCo until 2018, Keith is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the group and is driven by organic initiatives. He identifies ways to accelerate delivery, in line with Sage’s vision of becoming a great SaaS company.

Keith has 20 years’ experience in the software industry and previously co-founded Lamond Capital Partners, a technology-focused hedge fund based in San Francisco, where he led all software investment activity. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Arma Partners (London-based technology M&A advisor), where he advised on cross-border software transactions totaling several billion dollars in aggregate value. He also spent time in strategy/technology consulting with Gartner and Scient (a Sequoia-backed startup) in the US and in Japan, and in investment banking at JPMorgan Chase in New York.

Keith has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from INSEAD.

Klaus-Michael Vogelberg

Chief Architect and Technology Advisor (ExCo)

In 2019, Klaus-Michael took on this critical role in shaping the technology agenda at Sage, having previously served as Chief Technology Officer from 2007 onward.

Klaus-Michael joined us when Sage acquired the German KHK Software group in 1997. Having been R&D Director and a partner of that business, Klaus-Michael went on to act as R&D Director for Sage in the UK and Ireland from 2004 to 2007. Klaus-Michael is based in the UK.

Kerry Agiasotis

Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Australia


Kerry has more than 20 years of business management, sales, and consulting experience gained primarily in the Financial Services and IT industries. Australian-born Kerry was previously President of Western Union’s Global Business Solutions Division and has held leadership positions at Oracle and Siebel Systems. He holds an Executive MBA degree from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is based in Sydney, Australia, where he is responsible for ensuring Sage’s continued growth and success in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and Sage’s Australian business.

Pieter Bensch

Managing Director, Africa & Middle East

As Managing Director of Sage in Africa and the Middle East, Pieter Bensch is responsible for growing Sage’s business throughout the region and executing its vision of disrupting and leading the market for cloud-based payroll and accounting solutions. He has 26 years of industry experience and has held leadership roles in complex technology businesses all over Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Pieter joins Sage from HPE (Hewlett-Packard Enterprise), where he was the Managing Director for South Africa. Prior to joining HP, Pieter held a range of senior positions at Oracle, including Vice President of Oracle Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Vice President of Customer Support for MEA and Vice President and Managing Director of Oracle SA.

Laurent Dechaux

Managing Director, Southern Europe

Laurent Dechaux became Managing Director of Sage Southern Europe in November 2017.

He was previously VP of Digital Finance and Supply Chain for Oracle, leading the development of the Cloud ERP EPM business in 14 European countries. Prior to this, he was Applications Vice President for Customer Experience Suite and EPM for three years, during which he was instrumental to cloud acceleration. Simultaneously, he was the Oracle France Country Leader, driving the rise of local awareness of the Oracle strategy.

Sabby Gill

Managing Director, UK and Ireland

Sabby Gill leads Sage in its home market of the UK and in Ireland. He brings to Sage more than 30 years’ experience in the technology sector, spanning sales, operations, and customer service. 

Sabby has spent his career supporting businesses of all sizes with technology that unlocks their potential—both at home and in international markets. 

Sabby joined Sage from Epicor, where he was Executive Vice President of International. His past roles also included Senior Vice President of International Sales for IGT, a gaming technology company, and executive management roles at HP, CA Technologies, Oracle, PeopleSoft (acquired by Oracle), and DEC.

Nancy Harris

Managing Director, North America

Nancy has more than 30 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and partner development, having successfully led large SaaS and enterprise software companies including BMC Software and Asure Software. Nancy joined Sage in 2011, serving as Vice President and General Manager of Sage 50 Accounting, Canadian Edition and, later, as managing director of the company’s Canadian business. Today, she resides in the U.S. and is Managing Director of Sage North America, where she heads up the company’s day-to-day performance in the U.S. and Canada.

Luis Pardo

Managing Director, Sage Iberia


After holding positions in different multinational sectors, Luis joined Sage in 2001, occupying a range of positions in Sage’s European Business. Luis has been Managing Director of Sage Iberia, where he has overseen general management of Spain and Portugal, since 2014. Luis is a member of the Business Action Council of the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales and the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain’s Investment Committee. Among other honors, Luis has been awarded the EU Leadership Award by the EU Business School and the prestigious Gold Star by the Institute For Professional Excellence.

Paul Struthers

EVP & GM, Medium Segment Cloud Connected Solutions

Paul Struthers has more than 20 years of technology experience. After serving for three years as Sage’s Managing Director of Canada, Paul is now responsible for driving a unified strategy for our Medium Segment customers, heading up the category leaders for BMS, X3, HR, and Payroll. 

Before working at Sage, Paul spent 15 years at global software solutions company Amdocs. Prior to that, he managed the ERP consulting practice at RSA companies, where he also led and supported over 20 projects for small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

Neal Watkins

EVP Small Segment

Neal joined Sage in April 2020, having previously been Chief Product Officer at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, which he joined in 2015. Neal is responsible for leading the Small Segment Category Teams to provide products, solutions, and clear customer journeys for owner-run or small organizations that are increasingly looking to adopt emerging technology while managing costs and cash flow.

He has 25 years of software and engineering experience, including 11 years at Symantec in a number of senior roles in Product Management and Development, as well as in pre-sales.

Andreas Zipser

Managing Director, Central Europe

Andreas joined Sage Germany in 2015, first leading the SME business before taking on the role of VP Sales Central Europe in 2016. In this position, he led the launch of a new partner program to commercialize Sage’s cloud-based business solutions. Prior to Sage, Andreas was a member of the management at CAS Software and held senior positions at other technology and consulting firms.

Amy Lawson

EVP, Communications

Amy is responsible for Communications at Sage, including internal and external communications, public relations, industry analyst relations, and events. She sets the global communications strategy for our team of regional communications experts to engage with all corporate stakeholders, and oversees our events for customers, partners, and colleagues.

Previously, Amy was head of the Cabinet Office media operation as a civil servant for the British government and was Head of Communications for Channel 4 News, where she was responsible for protecting and promoting the reputation of the national news program, its journalism, and presenters.
