Manual accounting meant less-efficient optimization

Montana CAD was growing quickly with manual accounting tasks taking too long, leaving less time to optimize operations efficiently.

With only 3 back-office staff, including himself, working across accounting and dispatch tasks, Vice-President and General Manager, Logan Lamm, found that it left him with little time to think strategically about the business.

We were busy, and it left little time for me to strategize.

Next-generation solution to power the next generation via Sage Intacct

Montana CAD were already using Sage 100, but needed more integration with their systems. Sage Intacct provides a unified API that streamlines and simplifies adding and maintaining integrations, as that next-generation solution. Sage put them in touch with a partner, ACI Consulting, who demonstrated the product’s capabilities and helped them to make the decision to migrate to Sage Intacct.

We’d used Sage 100 for years but wanted a next-generation, cloud-based solution that could integrate with dispatch software applications.

5 hours back in the day with more time to strategize

Migrating to Sage Intacct improved customer relationships, with enhanced reporting for contractor-spend tracking. It also streamlined accounting, saving around 5 hours a day, and makes invoicing faster with customer-payment links. Logan can now use the time to bring efficiencies to other areas of the business, which is how Montana CAD will continue to grow and succeed.

The efficiencies we’re gaining with Sage Intacct allow us to continue growing without adding any additional accounting personnel.
